One more year, one more trip to up to Jay's family cottage on Silver Lake. Please let every year to be the same.
This was maybe my favourite weekend of the summer. We were away from the madness of wedding preparation, surrounded by all the people I love, only feeling so lucky to be there and have them in my life.
Maor made us meals perfect for sitting on the dock and soaking in the sun. I think it's safe to say; he spoils us rotten, and we love it. No one eats this well at their cottage.
As usual, I woke up early every morning to fish on the dock. Dan joined me a few times we did catch a few fish, although nothing is enough to cook. We caught a big one last year, but we have no idea how to gut and cook those things....something to aspire to do next year!
We had a few intense convos around the fire, getting into deep stuff. Learning more about each other. Learning more about ourselves. What a gift.
The stars were brighter than ever it seemed, and we spent hours using that constellation app looking at all those gods and monsters up there in the sky, staring down at us. It seemed as if as soon as the weekend had begun, it was over. We finished it off with a short, morning yoga session on the grass, in front of the silent lake. We laughter and rolled around on the crisp grass, before the rain started to fall and when ran inside. With the rain beating down and nothing left to do inside, we packed our bags and headed off. Hugs and kisses to all as we left and smiled on our faces as we drove home.
