When facing growing older, there's no better place in the world to hide from "adulting" than Disney World! All things considered, turning 30 proved to be more tumultuous than expected. But not for the reasons I had once feared. I fell ill the day before my birthday and continued to be very ill for the next few weeks. Being sick makes you take stock of your life and the silly things you were once worried about in turning 30 seem completely unimportant. And what is important is surrounding yourself with the people you love and living life to the fullest. Because who knows how much you have left.
Disney World turned out to the perfect vacation for my 30th Birthday. Since I was so sick on my actual birthday, all the people in the parks wishing me a very happy birthday made up for missing my parties back at home. I did miss out on being with my friends, but I have to keep in mind there's always next year and to really to cherish any time spent with them at all - birthday or not.
I'll go more into detail about this magical trip later but for now here are some beautiful pictures we took while Dreaming the World Away.
